IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yuriko
Kamibayashi
January 5, 1932 – January 13, 2021
Peacefully passed away on Jan 13 at Kaiser in Harbor City. She was born on Jan 5, 1932, in Kaumakani, Kauai, and was a resident of Torrance since 1975.
Yuri was loved by and will be missed by so many family and friends. She loved traveling, going to Alaska on fishing trips, gardening, cooking and baking, reading, playing scrabble, doing the LA Times daily jumble, bowling, and going to Las Vegas to meet up with her siblings from Hawaii. Her most favorite pastime was playing contract rummy with her friends and family. She also enjoyed going to water exercise 4 days/wk at the YMCA and volunteered at the Nakaoka Center every Friday.
Predeceased by her husband Warren, she was the greatest mom ever, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt. Survived by children: Lianne (Ken), Neal (Naomi), and Eric (Lisa). Grandchildren: Natalie and Richie, Aiko and Yuko. Great-grandchildren: Kylie and Ellie. Sisters: Yoneko, Rosie, Joan, and many nieces and nephews.
Due to covid restrictions, there will be a private burial/funeral service at Pacific Crest Cemetery. Also, to be completed at a later date, the family is in the process of creating a web page on EverLoved.com with pictures and memories where friends can see and post any of their fondest memories of our mom.
