A family memorial service for the late Mrs. Yukie Florence Sakamoto, a 92-year-old, Los Angeles, California-born Nisei resident of Torrance and former internee of Amache Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away on August 30, 2015 was held privately, officiated by Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sakamoto was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam Sakamoto. Her loving daughter, Shirley (Robert) Oka passed away on September 13, 2015.

Mrs. Sakamoto is survived by her children, Ron (Kathy) Sakamoto and Arlene (Richard) Camacho; grandchildren, Russell and Jaclyn Oka, Sam Camacho and Kevin Sakamoto. Sister, Emiko Sugimoto. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
