Youko Okumoto, 83, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2015 in her home. Youko was born in Torrance, CA. Her family moved to Hiroshima in1937; she came back to Los Angeles in 1951; got married in 1952. She is survived by her loving husband, Toshiaki "Don" Okumoto; her children, Mariko "Mari" and Akiko "Aki" Okumoto; her sister, Samiye Fujimoto; and also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and In Japan.
Funeral service will be held on Sat. Nov.7, at 11 a.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA.
