Yotaro Roy Hamada

November 23, 1932 – June 2, 2026

Yotaro Roy Hamada, 93, born in Akita Prefecture, Japan, and a longtime resident of La Palma, California, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 2, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife, Yoko; his son, Hiroshi; daughter, Yumi Knight and many nieces and nephews.

A Buddhist funeral service will be held on July 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. The service will be officiated by Rev. Yuki Himeji of the Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
