Yoshiko "Yo" Hongo, 98 (one month shy of her 99th birthday), passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025.

She loved following the Dodgers, Bruins and Lakers, and so proud of being a grandmother to her 5 granddaughters and all 10 of her great-grandchildren.  She was a gentle soul who was sharp, humble, kind to all around her and was always smiling.

She was predeceased by her husband, Sunao; and her son, Glenn.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Lola) and daughter-in-law, Mary (Fred). She is also survived by her granddaughters, Kristi (Micah) Hata, Marisa (Abe) Chung, Marci (Dene) Matsuzawa, Courtney (Kyle) Tsuneishi and Sydney (Mason) Mulvihill; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Michi Mori and Kay Hashimoto; and many nephews, nieces and family relatives.

A private memorial will be held on May 10, 2025.
