Funeral service for Yoshihisa Higashi 70-year-old Kagoshima-ken born resident of Monterey Park who passed away on Dec. 5, 2009 at Garfield Medical Center, will be held on Sat. Dec. 12 from 4:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary Chapel, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles with a minister from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Rieko Higashi; sons, Yoshihiko and Gary (Cindy) Higashi; three grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Yoshiharu (Chieko) Oda and Yukio (Kayo) Oda of Japan; sisters-in-law, Sumiko Hachisu and Yuko Fukushige both of Japan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
