Funeral services for the late Yoshihiko “Yosh” Matsumae, 95-year-old, Hiroshima, Japan born, resident of Fountain Valley, who passed away April 3, 2026, will be held on Thursday, April 23, 10:00AM at Newport Beach Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 254 Victoria St., Costa Mesa, CA 92627.

He is survived by his wife, Chizuko Matsumae; son, Dean Masahiko (Angy) Matsumae: daughter, Caroline Yumiko Matsumae; grandchildren, Mallory Yuri, Shane Yoshihiko Matsumae; siblings, Masae (Manri) Takehara and Shiro (Mihoko) Matsumae of Japan; nieces, Atsuko Takehara and Chisei (Hiroki) Kakuda of Japan; nephews, Hiroshi Takehara and Jun Matsumae of Japan; also survived by other relatives here and in Japan.
