Yoriko Fukuhara, 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home in Oceanside, California. She was born in Osaki-jima, Hiroshima-ken in Japan, and emigrated to the US at 24. She married Joe Fukuhara in 1963 and was a long-time resident of Los Angeles until moving to Oceanside in 1999. In life, Yoriko enjoyed Ikebana, traditional Japanese dance, karaoke, and walking, in addition to playing on her iPhone and studying medical terminology in both Japanese and English.

Yoriko is predeceased by her husband, Joe. She is survived by her sister, Keiko, who resides in Hiroshima, and her children, Christine Reiko McDaniel, Eileen Michiko Giese, and Janet Shizue Fukuhara, and 4 grandchildren: Jacqui, Taka, Jason, and Nathan.

A private funeral service was held at Evergreen Cemetery.
