Funeral service for the late Yoneko Shimoide, 102-year-old, California-born, resident of Culver City, who passed away on August 16, 2024, will be held on Friday, September 6, 11 a.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple 815 E. First St. in Los Angeles.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Kaoru, son, Kenneth and grandson, Scottie; she is survived by her children, Joyce, Janice and Ron (Pansy) Shimoide; grandchildren, Steven (Kelsey) and Brandon Shimoide; great-grandson, Spencer Shimoide with 2 more on the way; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
