Yoneko Iwata passed away peacefully while sleeping in the early morning hours of April 27, 2014. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 2:00 PM at the Central Japanese American Community Church of Seventh-Day Adventists, 2113 East Villa Street, Pasadena, CA 91107.

Yoneko was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kaoru Frank Iwata and son Anthony Itsu Iwata. She is survived by her children Frank Kiyoshi Iwata, Elsie Hatsune Iwata, Dr. Christopher Akira Iwata, and Dr. Kathryn Suzuko Iwata, her daughter-in-law Hiroko Iwata, her sister Yukiko Ito, and many nieces and nephews.
