Private family service for the late Yasuyo Sakata, 91-year-old, Japan born resident of Alhambra, who passed away on June 9, 2014, were held on Saturday, June 21 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" in Los Angeles.

She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Tomoko (Steve) Ishida and Yumiko (Ron Grobeck) Sakata; grandchildren, Scott and Ryan Ishida, and Alyson and Katie Grobeck; brother, Nobuyasu Yano of Japan; she is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
