Funeral service for Yasumi Nitta, 88-year-old El Segundo-born resident of Arleta who passed away on Oct. 4, 2012 at Nikkei Senior Gardens, will be held on Sat. Oct. 13 at 1:00 PM at San Fernando Valley Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 9450 Remick Ave., Pacoima, CA 91331.
She is survived by her daughters, Irene Shigeko (Gary) Sumida, Gail Hideko (Ralph) Maeda and Judy Nobuko (Wesley) Kaihara; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Chizuko Suehiro, Makiko (Pete) Ota, Sumie (Takashi) Horii and Keiko Toma; brother-in-law, Mel Okamoto; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
