Obituary
Family graveside service for the late Yasuji "Yachi" Shirokawa, 86-year-old San Pedro-born Nisei resident of Long Beach who passed away on October 25 at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, were held on November 1 at Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Clifford Ishigaki officiating and Fukui Mortuary directing.
He is survived by his wife, Mariko Shirokawa; son, Bruce (Dara) Shirokawa; daughter, Jill Shirokawa (David Smithrud) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Sarah and Michael; and sisters, Fumiko (Saburo) Shizuru and Kimiye Shirokawa.
