William Tadamasa Yamane

July 30, 1935 – July 23, 2026

William Tadamasa Yamane, 90, born in Gardena, CA, and a longtime resident of the South Bay, passed away peacefully at the hospital on July 23, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shigeko; his sons, Glenn and Burt (Leslie) Yamane; his daughter, Karen (David) Kozai; his sister, Suzanne Yoshida; his brothers-in-law, George (Helen) Nakano and Roy (Susie Ling) Nakano; his sister-in-law, Keiko Nakano; and his grandchildren, Nichole and Colin Kozai, and Joshua and Jenna Yamane and many nieces and nephews.

A Buddhist funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA 90247. The service will be officiated by Rev. John Iwohara. The family kindly invites those attending to wear aloha attire in honor of William's memory.
