Funeral service for the late Mr. William Yutaka Sumida, an 87 year-old, Los Angeles, California-born, Nisei resident of Rosemead and a former internee of Tule Lake Relocation Camp who passed away on October 12 will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, 3:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" located at 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, officiated by Rimban Hiroshi Abiko of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

Mr. Sumida is survived by his beloved wife, Clara Chiyeko Sumida; his children, Sharon (Mark) Kawachi and Bill Yukio (Debra) Sumida; grandchildren, Kevin, Mackenzie and Curtis Kawachi and Britt, Ashley and Bryce Sumida; brother, Tatsuo (Yoko) Sumida; sister-in-law, Sadako Sumida; niece, Mitzi Shitanda. Also survived by many other relatives here and in Japan.
