Funeral Services for the late Mr. Walter Kakuro Matsumura, a Hawaii-born, 78-year-old resident of Carson and USAF veteran who passed away peacefully on February 2, 2016, were held privately, officiated by Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.



Mr. Matsumura is survived by his children June Sachi (Chance) Levine and Ashley Matsumura; stepdaughter Michelle Anne (Carlos) Soria; grandchildren Mia, Jax, Kristen and Brandon; siblings, Kenneth (Marguerite), Julius, Raymond (Asako), Herbert, Albert and Andrew (Lillian) Matsumura; sister-in-law Margarita Matsumura. His memory will also live in the hearts of many nieces, nephews and relatives.
