79-year old Hilo, Hawaii-born resident of Baldwin Park passed away peacefully on July 29, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife, Aurora Castillo Hayashida; children, Becky (Rev. Dr. Tom) Choi of Hawaii, Donna (Harvey) Hihara, and Alston (Hanh) Hayashida; step-son, Rosanno "Sonny" Tondecilla; grandchildren, Marina and Sierra Choi, Jarryd and Dustin Hihara, Nathaniel, Kiana, Megan, and Nolan Hayashida; step-grandchildren, Jordan and Jianni Tondecilla; sister, Ellen Matsuzaki; brother, Kenneth (Amy) Hayashida; and aunt, Matsuko Kushisaki; also survived by many other loving relatives.


A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 19th, 4-5 P.M. at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. A final visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90013. The family kindly requests that flowers be omitted.
