Funeral services for the late Mrs. Tsuyako Ruby Sumida, a 98-year-old, Seattle, Washington-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles and former internee of Heart Mountain Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away on June 3, 2014 were held privately at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", officiated by Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.


Predeceased by her husband Roy Teruo Sumida.


Mrs. Sumida is the beloved mother of Colleen (Ronney) Sakoda, and Gary (Irene) Sumida.Proud grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 11.Also survived by her sister Marian Yasuda, and many other family members both here and in Hawaii.
