Mr. Tsutomu Fukunaga passed away peacefully on September 10, 2015 at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 91. He is survived by his goddaughter, Dr. Laura Quan, and his loving adopted family, Dr. & Mrs. Robert Quan, Jennifer Quan, and Jonathan Quan. He is preceded in death by his Father and mother, Chikamatsu and Ichi Wakida Fukunaga and oldest brother Frank Toshiyuki Fukunaga along with his wife, Fumi and son Louis; and Second Brother, Dave Hidemi Fukunaga. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles and attended Chicago Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 and attained two military medals and an Honorable Discharge. He retired as a Master Cabinet Maker in 1984 and continued to share his insights into a number of subjects with friends. A private funeral service organized by Fukui Mortuary was held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes, CA on September 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. and officiated by the Reverend Nobuko Miyoshi of the West Covina Buddhist Church.
