Funeral service for Tsune Yamashiro, 106- year- old, Okinawa-born resident of  Los Angeles who passed away on July 9, 2017, was held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 with a minister from Hompa Hongwanji Budhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her son, Ken (Sandy Yoko) Yamashiro; granddaughter, Joni Michiko Yamashiro; many other relatives here and in Japan.
