Tommy Wataru Shimizu, an 85-year-old. Kapoho, Hawaii-born resident of Gardena who honorably served his nation in the US Army passed away on September 23, 2017. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 31 years Joyce Mitsue Shimizu. Tommy is survived by his sons, Duane (Julie) and Randy (Yaeko) Shimizu; grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan and Erik; siblings Ethel (Daniel) Chang of Honolulu, HI and Iwao (Katherine) Shimizu of Kaneohe, Hawaii. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in CA, HI, AK, PA and NC.

A Family Celebration of Life Service was held privately at Green Hills Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Daniel Matsuda of Gardena Valley Baptist Church.
