Obituary
Tomiko Kamisato Kawai, born in Hilo, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2011 at the age of 79. A memorial service will be held on Wed. July 20, 11:00 A.M. at Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, 244 South San Pedro Street, Garden Room B, Los Angeles, CA 90012-3832.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Kaye Ishii of CA, Ayako Nakamura, Tazuko (Hank) Pataray, Masato Kamisato all of HI, Takahiro Kawai of Japan; survived by her beloved husband, Satoru Ryosho Kawai; son, Masaru Kent Kawai; siblings, Sumie Tsukada, Wilma Nobuyo Miyasato and Mary Isa all of HI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Henry Nakamura, Harumitsu Ishii, Caroline Kamisato, Akiko Kawai, Yoko (Kodo) Hosoi, Katsuaki Tsukada, Susumu Kawai and Takatoshi Kawai and also, survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Hawaii, Nevada, South Carolina, Washington, and Japan.
