Private funeral services for the late Tomeyo Thelma Futa, 91-year-old, San Gabriel born, resident of Laguna Hills, who passed away on November 12, 2010, were held on Friday, November 19 at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles.

Predeceased by her husband, Sunao Tom Futa and daughter, Barbara Y. Sullivan; she is survived by her son, Dr. William T. (Sumi) Futa; son-in-law, Paul Sullivan; grandchildren, Shawn, Kimberly, Lt. Colonel Christopher (Stephanie) Sullivan, and Kristine (Matthew), Todd (Lisa) and Darren (Annie) Futa; 7 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by other relatives.
