SERIZAWA, Tom Tomoyuki

Tom Serizawa, 96-years-old, born in Seattle, Washington, and a long-time resident of Sun Valley, California, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Setsuko of 42 years. He is survived by his son Thomas Toyohiro Serizawa, daughter Grace Naoko Serizawa, granddaughters Molly Mayumi Serizawa Ohira and Seiko Guerra Serizawa, grandson-in-law Kousuke Ohira, brother Soroku and sister in Japan, Mutsuko.

He had requested that his obituary include gratitude to all those who enriched his life with their friendship. He was greatly indebted to Dr. Thomas Kanegae for many reasons, but especially for enhancing the lives of the entire Serizawa family.

A private family memorial service was held on March 19, 2021 at Fukui Mortuary Chapel, officiated as he requested by Rev. Shumyo Kojima of Zenshuji Soto Mission.
