A private family funeral service was held for the late Mr. Tom Hayata on Thursday, September 7, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Kazuaki Nakata of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

Tom Hayata passed away peacefully on September 4, 2017.

Tom was born, raised and a long-time resident of Los Angeles who was the owner and pharmacist of 321 Pharmacy in Little Tokyo for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Hayata.

He is survived by his loving family; wife, Alene Keiko Hayata; children, Gregg, Jill, Todd and Akiko Hayata; grandchildren, Brandon and Yukihiro Hayata; brothers, Tomokuni (Diane) and Bunji Hayata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The Hayata family wishes to thank their family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time of loss.
