Tokiyuki "Tom" Yokoi passed away on Aug. 14, 2010. He was a devoted husband, a patient, kind father, and a caring friend to many, generous with his time, money, counsel and sense of humor. He loved to travel, cook and tinker with electronics, and in recent years enjoyed being a grandfather to his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sadako Yokoi; daughters, Iris Sumi Yokoi, Linda Mami (Robert) Licitra and Emi (Ernesto) Romero; three grandchildren; brother, Motohiko Sato of Japan; sister, Yoko (Shoichi) Seki of Japan; brothers-in-law, Kunio (Ayako) Sekino and Kazuo Sekino; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 10:00 AM at Tenrikyo Church Mission Headquarters in America with Rev. Kenichi Kodama of Aichi Daikyo Kai officiating, 2727 E. 1st St., Los Angeles, CA 90033.
