Thomas Hiroshi Matsunaga, 94, passed away on November 14, 2016. Tom was born in Fowler, the second son of Gunta and Sueno Matsunaga. He grew up in Del Rey and Los Angeles, was interned with his family at Heart Mountain and was inducted into the US Army on VJ Day. Tom then graduated from UCLA and worked as a CPA in private practice and as the chief financial officer of a public corporation. His lifelong passion was golf. He won a number of SCNGA tournaments and was a member of the Mesa Verde Country Club.

Tom is survived by two younger brothers, Hideo (Yuri) and Ronald (Helen), and by numerous nephews and nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces in the Los Angeles area, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago and Baltimore. His older brother Andrew (Ruth) predeceased him. Tom will be interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Hollywood Hills in a private ceremony.
