Graveside service for THOMAS YOSHITO MAKABE, 84, a Hawaii born Nisei and veteran of the 442nd RCT Cannon Company, who passed away on July 14 at his residence in Monterey Park, will be held on Saturday, July 29, 9:30AM at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Gate 10, 3888 S. Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, with Rev. Rick Iwanaga officiating under the direction of Fukui Mortuary. The family requests that flowers please be omitted and aloha attire.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Mel (Karen) Makabe; daughter, Lonin (Ricky) Lew; granddaughters, Michi and Keimi Lew; sister, Janet (Earl) Mihara of Washington; sister-in-law, Lillian Makabe of Hawaii and many nieces and nephews.
