On August 31 ^st at the age of 94, Teruko "Terry" Umemoto passed away peacefully in Los Angeles. She was surrounded by her family: daughter, Ann (Richard Younge) Umemoto of NY; sons, Steve Umemoto of Los Angeles and Keith (Paula Mishima) Umemoto of Sacramento; grandchildren, Tamiko (Michael LoPresti) Younge of MD, Akina Younge of NY, Tara, Kayla and Allie Umemoto of CA; great-grandaughter, Kaia LoPresti of MD; also survived by siblings, Fumiko Shiono of PA, Yoshi Komaki of CA and Ted Munekyo of WA; and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Until her passing, Terry enjoyed spending time with her family, going on walks and eating good food. Since she was not comfortable with large gatherings, there will not be a service; instead she would want you to spend time with your family and friends.
