Teruko Nakashima, loving mother to John Furukawa (Janet), Roger Furukawa (Gloria), and Sumie Judy Imada passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at age 100. She was born in Seattle, Washington, relocated to Colorado during WWII, and moved back to Los Angeles in 1945. She will be remembered as always cheerful, loyal and hard-working all her life.

She is survived by six grandsons, Gary, Alan, Mark, Matthew, Michael, and Sean Furukawa and their spouses, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives, nieces and nephews, and friends of the family.

A Memorial service was held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Faith United Methodist Church, Torrance, CA. and with interment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
