Teruchiyo "Terry" Oda, 86-years-old, of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2024. Terry was born in Osaka, Japan and raised in Wakayama. He immigrated to the U.S. at 18 yrs old. He initially harvested grapes in Delano, Northern California, then came to Los Angeles for a better job opportunity. Terry and his wife, Reiko, were married in 1965. He worked as a gardener for many years, then worked for the Beverly Hills Unified School District as a journeyman mechanic. He retired after 21 years of service with them. During retirement, he enjoyed bowling, gardening, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his loving family: Daughter, Lisa (Johanna) Oda-Stoakes; Son, Richard Makoto Oda; Stepson, David (Diana) De La Torre; Grandchildren: Thomas Vasquez, Jordan Oda-Fabrao, Michael De La Torre, and Sarah (Kylie) De La Torre; and Great Grandchild, Lilly De La Torre. He is preceded in death by his wife, Reiko Oda and his son, Robert Oda.
