Teru K. Albert, 92-year-old, born in Hachinohe, Aomori-Ken Japan, resident of Lawndale passed away peacefully at her residence on August 18, 2020. She married Leonard J. Albert on 7/16/1959. They came to US in Dec 1959 and took up residence in Lawndale in 1965. She was widowed in 1980 and befriended Kunitaro Tsugawa in 1986, who remained her companion until he passed in 2011. She was a talented artist and calligrapher, and exhibited her oil paintings in the South Bay area. She was a generous, beautiful person and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving family: step-daughter, Michele Tsugawa (Chris) Billand; step-son, Matthew Kenji (Anne) Tsugawa; half-brother, Ryo Kawamura in Sapporo Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
