MRS. TERUKO TERRYLL OKUMURA 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her Huntington Beach home of 41 years on February 27, 2017.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Shoichi Okumura; brothers James Toshiyuki Minato, George Masashi Minato, Richard Masanori Minato, is survived by her family; daughter; Sherilyn Hirayama; son, Donn Okumura; daughter, Ann (John) Sadakane; granddaughter, Kristine (Rick) Tang; grandson, David Sadakane; great-granddaughter, Taylor Tang; sister, Karen Kiyoko (Minato) Yamada; brother-in-law, Masato Kanetani and niece, Vivian Kanetani and many nieces, nephews, and family members.

Teruko was a proud graduate of Hilo High ('46) and was voted "Best Dressed "of her senior class. She traveled extensively with Sho and will be remembered as a strong role model, intelligent and incredible knitter and crocheter to her family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 19, at 3:00 PM at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Avenue, Anaheim, CA.
