Tamotsu "Tom" Tanahashi

A funeral service for the late Tamotsu "Tom" Tanahashi, 88 years old, born in Nagoya, Japan, a long-time resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on July 6, 2024, will be held on Friday, August 23, at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90013, officiated by Bishop Ito.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nana Tanahashi: sons, Robert Kenji Tanahashi and Brian (Fely ) Tanahashi; granddaughters, Megan Tanahashi and Leilani Tanahashi of Tennessee; grandson, Kollin Tanahashi; sister, Chieko Miwa; and several nieces and nephews.
