Kobata, Tamotsu "Tom". 86-year old Terminal Island-born resident of Culver City passed away peacefully on October 4th. He is survived by his beloved wife, Aiko Kobata; children, Kathleen Fujiho Wolchick, Hitomi Rose (Adel) Omar, Hayato Norman (Yasuyo) Kobata of Hawaii, Miho Linda (Gene) Noda, Tami Wendy (Paul Jr.) Cueva, Kaoru Ann (Tony) Mulvihill, and Chizuru Kobata (Mike) Colvin; 21 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter (who loved their Jiichan immensely) and many nieces, nephews and other relatives in California, Hawaii and Japan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14th 3P.M. at Zenshuji Soto Mission, 123 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles 90012.
