Private funeral services for the late Takeshi Robert Babamoto, 89 year old, Los Angeles, California-born Kibei-Nisei who passed away at home on October 18, 2008 were held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" officiated by Rev. Fumiaki Usuki of West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mine Babamoto; sons, Kenneth (Emily) and Dennis (Carol) Babamoto; daughters, Doris (James) Murai of San Bruno, CA and Joyce (Richard) Imada; grandsons, Ryan Muyrai and Randy Imada; granddaughters, Trisha Murai, Stephanie (Brent) Wimmer, Lauren, Erin, and Claire Babamoto; great-grandson, Sean Wimmer; brother Toshio (Shizue) Babamoto.
