Funeral services for the late Takenori Sam Ueno, 80-year- old, Japan born resident of Costa Mesa, who passed away on January 24, will be held on Saturday, February 1, 1 p.m. at Newport Beach Higashi Honganji 254 Victoria St., Costa Mesa.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sadako Ueno; daughters, Mary (Marcus) Pollitz, Louise (Steve) Mishler, Helen (Noel) Ishikawa, Katie (Ezra) Kent; 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson; siblings, Mitsuo Ueno, Mitsuko Kodama, Atsuko (Tokuji) Fukumoto, Tatsuko Arimura, Etsuko Osako.
