Private memorial services for the late Takehiko Taniguchi, 95-year-old, Japan born resident of Lakewood, who passed away on January 22, 2009, were held on Thursday, January 29 at Gardena Buddhist Church, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his son, Yoshihiko (Megumi) Taniguchi; daughters, Yumiko (Masakiyo) Watanabe and Shoko (Haruyasu) Yawata; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; he is also survived by a niece, a nephew and other relatives.
