Funeral services for the late
Mr. Takashi Tom Nakamoto, a 95-year-old Palo Alto, California-born Nisei resident of Rancho Palos Verdes who honorably served his country in the 442 ^nd RCT during WWII for which he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Congressional Gold Medal and who passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014, were held privately, officiated by Pastor Mike Hammontre of Knott Avenue Christian Church.

Mr. Nakamoto was the beloved husband of Sachiko Nakamoto; devoted father of Ronald Nakamoto of Utah, Steven and Greg Nakamoto; proud grandfather of Jordan Nakamoto; loving brother of Leona Inamasu and Gladys (Shin) Inouye. Also survived by many other relatives.
