Funeral services for the late Mr. Takaaki Shimomura, 74 year old Kagoshima, Japan born Issei resident of Santa Ana who passed away on May 21, will be held on Friday, May 25th at 7:30 PM at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 South Dale Avenue in Anaheim, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.


He is survived by his wife, Rui Shimomura; daughters, Shoko (Roger) Kotow and Julie (Hiko) Higashi; grandchildren, Todd and Daniel Kotow, Nicholas Higashi, Cynthia Kotow and June Higashi; brother, Akihiro (Sakye) Shimomura; sisters, Terue Fujii, Mikue (Toshinori) Uchihara, and Katsue (Shigenobu) Motodera. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
