In the Memory of Tad Yoshimura

Tadashi Yoshimura, known more so as "Tad" to his family and friends was born on April 15, 1961, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles, CA. His father was Megumu Yoshimura and his mother was Atsuko Morikubo and he had one brother.

Tad earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young where he specialized in auditing and consulting work for real estate clients.

For almost 30 years, Tad served as a Chief Financial Officer for Diamond Realty Investments, Inc. He was dedicated to the organization and it's growth over the years, having been the first employee and helping to grow the company into the successful organization it is today with over 30 employees in Los Angeles and Dallas and multiple investments throughout the United States.

Tad was dedicated to several charities throughout his lifetime, one of the most important to him was the Little Tokyo Service Center where he served as Treasurer and a Board member, "LTSC" is a non-profit organization dedicated to producing low-income housing and providing essential social services to senior citizens, families, and children in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Another charity that was dear to Tad's heart was the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, he attended events and supported them in several ways. Westside is the organization that Tad adopted his beloved German Shepherd, Nana, from several years ago. Nana was a great companion to him and gave him something to look forward to when he came home at the end of each day or after a business trip.

Tad was a dedicated and supportive UCLA alumnus, and he loved watching his favorite sports teams, the Lakers and Dodgers. On the weekends you could find him having breakfast at one of his favorite local restaurants and hiking the trails in Elysian Park with Nana.

Tad passed away at the age of 59 on August 3, 2020, at 7:39 am peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospital, he passed away in his sleep, just the way he would have wanted. He loved his family, friends, and colleagues but he especially loved his Nana-chan.
