Memorial services for the late Tadachi Kohara, an 83-year-old, Terminal island, California-born Kibei-Nisei resident of Garden Grove, survivor of the Atomic bombing of Hiroshima during WWII, recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cue Collectors Association, and an inductee of both the Japanese Billiard and Pool Association and the American Cue Makers Association who passed away on October 17, 2013 will be held on November 2, 2013 10:00 AM at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave., Anaheim, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in the name of Tadachi Kohara to The American Society of Hiroshima Nagasaki A-Bomb Survivors, 7101 Pelican Dr., Buena Park, CA 90620-1354.
Mr. Kohara is survived by his beloved wife, Setsuko Kohara. Devoted father of June (Kenyon) Quon, Kay and Fred Kohara; brother of Dr. Sachiko (Rev. Toshio) Okamoto of Ohio. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
