Susumu "Sus" Yasuda passed away peacefully on September 12, 2017 at the age of 90 years old. He was a Los Angeles born Nisei veteran and resident of Los Alamitos who was laid to rest on Friday, September 15 ^th at Green Hills Memorial Park in a private family service and burial with Pastor Gary Oba of WLA United Methodist Church officiating. He was also given a military honors ceremony for his honorable service in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his son Don Yasuda and he is survived by his loving family; wife, Frances Yasuda; son, Doug (Julie) Yasuda; daughter, Chris (Dave) Shigekuni; grandchildren, Trevor (Jill) Yasuda, Connor Yasuda, Bryan (Yayoi) Shigekuni, Stephany Shigekuni of NY, and Kyle Shigekuni;

great-grandchildren, Isla Yasuda and Kaily Shigekuni; sister-in-law, Reiko Yasuda; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
