Memorial Services for the late Mr. Susumu Watanabe, a 97-year old, Las Vegas, Nevada-Born Kibei Nisei resident of Los Angeles who honorably served his country in the "Go For Broke" 442nd RCT while his family was interned at Poston Relocation Camp during WWII, and who passed peacefully on March 20, 2015 will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 4:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, officiated by Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church. Mr. Watanabe is survived by his loving wife, Akie Watanabe of Gardena; children, Stan (Ann) Watanabe and Nancy (Kevin)Murray; sister, Chiye Kajikawa; grandchildren, Drake Murray, and Samantha and Ethan Watanabe. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
