Susanne Tanji, 69, resident of South San Gabriel passed away December 2 ^nd .

Susanne will always be remembered by family and friends for her kindness, cheerful smile, laugh, and how she loved to fish with her late husband Bobby.  Susanne was a swimmer and after her swimming career, she started her own business of teaching private swim lessons to many children in the LA area.  Susanne was also a Teacher's Aide for 16 years.

Susanne treasured her husband Bobby, her children, and her grandkids.  She would do anything for them and loved them so much.  When she saw them in her last few months of life, she would always have the biggest smile on her face, and this is how we will all remember her.

Susanne is survived by her sister Sandra Nitta, daughter Sandi Sakurai, son-in-law Merv Sakurai, son Gary Tanji, son Gregg Tanji, daughter-in-law Jennifer Wakimoto Tanji, and grandchildren Brandon Sakurai, Alyssa Emi Sakurai, and Mika Tanji, and many more relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church of San Gabriel Valley 323 Workman Mill Rd. in La Puente.  The family kindly requests aloha attire.
