Family funeral services for the late Sunao Tom Futa, 96-year-old Selma, CA born resident of San Gabriel, who passed away on June 8, 2007, were held on Friday, June 15 at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

Predeceased by his daughter, Yoshiko Barbara Sullivan, he is survived by his wife, Tomeyo Thelma Futa; son, Dr. William T. (Sumi) Futa; grandchildren, Kristine (Matthew Armstrong), Todd and Darren (Annie) Futa, and Shawn, Kimberly and Christopher (Stephanie) Sullivan; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Tomeko Wada, Haruko Hatanaka, and Hiroshi (Sachiko) Futa all of Japan; son-in-law, Paul Patrick Sullivan; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
