Sumiko Kumai, 87-year old, CA born, resident of Huntington Beach, CA passed away peacefully on January 22, 2012. She is predeceased by beloved husband, Toshio Kumai; survived by her beloved daughters, Marilyn (Akira) Yoshihiro, Carol Kumai, Doris (Richard) Romero and Marlene (Pat) Britt; grandchildren, Megan Britt, Michael Britt, Ryan Britt and Mallory Romero and also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Private service was held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Fukui Mortuary " Chapel in the Garden" with Minister of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple Officiating.
