Funeral services for the late Sumako (Matsushima) Matsumoto, Los Angeles-born Nisei resident of Rancho Cucamonga who passed away on May 29 at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, will be held on Saturday, June 9, 10:30 a.m., at Gedatsu Church of America, 7850 Hill Dr., South San Gabriel, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

She is survived by her husband, Hitoshi Matsumoto; son, Tetsuya (Sachiyo) Matsumoto; daughters, Yoko (Yoshihisa) Hirayama and Etsuko (Yuji) Takahashi; grandchildren, Yuko Melody Hirayama, Kumi Jennifer, Satoshi Christopher and Wataru Arthur Matsumoto and Riye Karen Takahashi; and relatives in Japan
