Private gravesite services for the late Steven M. Nakama, a 70-year-old, resident of Torrance, CA who passed away on March 30, 2022, were held at Green Hills Memorial Park.

Steven passed away after an extended hospital and rehab stay due to complications from peripheral vascular disease.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Gardena VFW Post 1961. Steven loved to volunteer his time with the Boy Scouts, ball room dancing and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, April Nakama; his son, Garret Nakama; daughter, Kristine Sato and their families.
