Sizao Yen, 75, passed away on May 9, 2026, at Hollenbeck Palms in Los Angeles, California, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born on September 20, 1950, in Shanghai, China, Sizao was the only child of CJ Yen and Lianshan Zhang. In 1998, he brought his family to New Jersey to reunite with his father, who had emigrated to New York 18 years earlier–a decision that reflected his deep devotion to family across continents and decades.

Sizao built a distinguished career in Electrical Control and Automation, contributing his expertise to companies in both China and the United States for over 35 years before retiring in 2016.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Xiaolei; his son, Hao (Pam); and extended family including cousins, nieces, and nephews.
